Missing Persons were an American new wave band formed in Los Angeles in 1980, known for their futuristic synths, quirky rhythms, and striking visual style. Fronted by distinctive vocalist Dale Bozzio, the group broke into the mainstream with hits like “Walking in L.A.” and “Words.” Blending new wave, pop, and avant-garde influences, Missing Persons became MTV favorites and captured the eccentric, fashion-forward spirit of the early 1980s.
