Katrina and the Waves were a British-American rock band best known for their bright, jangly pop sound and feel-good energy. Formed in the early 1980s, the group found global success with the enduring hit “Walking on Sunshine,” led by powerhouse vocalist Katrina Leskanich. Blending new wave, rock, and pop, the band enjoyed chart success on both sides of the Atlantic and later won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997, cementing their place in pop history.
